Postgraduate Studies
Hello everyone!
Today I am writing my opinion about postgraduate studies in my career, psychology.
Earlier I read about postgraduate studies at various universities, such as Sheffield, Johannesburg and others.
In psychology in particular, I think it is very important to study after university, because the more you specialize in an area like social, clinical, developmental or others is better, even if it is a specific topic such as psychological research methods, in cognitive neuroscience, anxiety, social conflicts, etc. With this specialization you are better prepared to attend to your patients in more specific areas.
I think that to make the decision to study for a doctorate or master's degree, you should think about it carefully, since it involves money and time. Personally I would not do it right out of university but I should definitely do it, since psychology is always discovering things, implementing new techniques. Really you never stop learning, as in many other careers.
As I mentioned in the previous post, the salary of a psychologist can vary according to the country or area of study, a specialization in this area or in a subject of this would make it vary even more, there can be many salary gaps.
I hope you like today's post, the truth is that is very informative topic for student and for everyone it is good to know that you can continue studying your career from anywhere in the world and learn new things every day, theoretically or in experience
Blessings to all.
I agree with you that it is necessary to specialize in Psychology, Cata! There is still time to think about it and make a decision, it is always good to keep learning.
ResponderEliminarHi Catalina. You are right, it is important to consider the monetary value and the amount of time involved in completing a postgraduate degree. It will depend on each one according to their projects if it is worth it or not. Much success and encouragement with making the best decision about it!
ResponderEliminarHi Catalina! Thank you for sharing this wuth us. I hope you cand made your mind about if you will study in a master program or not. Even though it is very usefull I think that is not extremely necessary.
