My study programme

 Hello everyone!

Today I will tell you about my experiences studying at the university.

I have been studying psychology for only 3 semesters, so I can't talk about it completely yet.

However, in these 3 semesters I have gone through quite a few subjects, I will tell you about some of them and what I know about the rest of my curriculum.

First I want to debunk some myths, in psychology if you see mathematics haha, at the University of Chile (my university) we have statistics (I and II), for me it has been very entertaining although it has its degree of difficulty, I like it and one notices how fundamental it is for research in the area. Mathematics is fundamental for the development of psychology. On the other hand, we also have history, although only one and very introductory, if we have haha.

Then there are the branches that imagine the different currents of psychology, such as social, behavioral, clinical, judicial, educational, etc., where you read a lot, many authors, with many perspectives and experiments throughout history that make you reflect on many issues that one does not consider on a daily basis. It also happens that these topics at some point relate to each other and it is really rewarding when all the pieces start to fit together and everything makes sense to you.

In some of the more tipical branches of the career, there are field trips, visits to courts, schools, among others. I have not yet lived this experience, but I am very excited about it, although at the same time it makes me nervous because it is a very real approach to what I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to.

In this career we also write a lot, always, for everything. We have to do a lot of essays, research, written tests, anything that can be written will be written haha. Personally, at the beginning I was not very good at writing, but as everything is based on that, I have improved a lot, besides the fact of reading enhances a lot the writing, I leave it as a useful fact.

That's all for today, I hope that through my blogs you can imagine my career and that you like it. See you next time
